No, not yurts - these are even more special! Four round cabins, atypical accommodation unique in France that are similar to ‘bories’, the small round dry-stone huts typical of the south of France. The difference is that they are made entirely of wood - however the illusion of stone really is impressive. The roof is covered in chestnut bark, left over from the strips of chestnut wood prepared by the 'feuillardiers' and used for barrel-making - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0xECiKZSDow.
As dreams and relaxation aren’t only found up in the trees at ‘Les Cabanes de Jeanne’, we’ve built four round cabins for you. Standing at ground level, you’ll enter an original place where you’ll no longer be between four straight walls but in the middle of a round and cosy space. They provide a snug sanctuary for a romantic couple or parents with two children. Inside, the majority of the furniture has been made to measure. There is a kitchen-living room (sofa, table, fully-equipped kitchen worktop area), a bathroom with a washbasin, shower and WC. For sleeping there are two double beds, one at the bottom (140x190cm) and one on the mezzanine level (140x190cm).
Outside is a little covered pergola with a table where you can have all of your meals. There’s even a small ‘caveman’ barbecue for your grilled food.

Machota : The Tawny Owl
If you enjoy spending hours in the sun like a lizard on a rock, then this cabin is made for you. La Machota is the sunniest cabin at ‘Les Cabanes de Jeanne’ and is also south-west facing. It gets the most sunlight throughout the year - however, inside the cabin it is cool in the summer, thanks to the thick wall of tied wood and the natural roof covering. It has the same internal and external fittings as the other round cabins.

Béla Sorga : Beautiful Spring
Within this little village of round cabins, Béla Sorga is hidden behind its box hedges. Surrounded by small Périgord dry stone walls, their ochre hue goes perfectly with the foundation walls of this out-of-the-ordinary cabin. Like almost all of the cabins, it is south-west facing. There’s a mix of sunshine and shade throughout the day, which is really welcome during the summer season. Outside is a covered ‘made in Les Cabanes de Jeanne’ pergola where you can enjoy all of your meals.

Terra Negra - Black Earth
Terra Negra is located under the oak trees and is south-west facing. Set slightly further back than the other round cabins, it nonetheless enjoys a great view over the estate and, in particular, has a beautiful meadow to the left where you can relax in the shade of the oak trees. In early Spring, if you look carefully, you might even be lucky enough to come across a summer truffle. That’s because the oak trees of the Terra Negra occasionally provide us with a few black diamonds. Careful, we’re watching you!

3 Teissonets : Three Little Pigs
This cabin was apparently the last one to resist being blown down by the wolf! Tres Tessonets (or ‘three little pigs’ in English) enjoys an open view over the central area of the estate (swimming pool, games areas, trampolines, meadows, etc.) which is much appreciated by parents. In the evening, as you sip on your herbal tea (or plum brandy - we know you too well!) under your pergola, don’t hesitate to suggest a trampoline session to your children. Ten minutes of trampolining is the same as a one-hour jog. It’s the best natural sleeping pill there is (and a quiet night guaranteed!), you’ll see.
